Anglican
There are a total of 75 parishes in the province, with 32 of them in Winnipeg. Seven of the parishes in the Diocese serve congregations of indigenous peoples; one of these is in Winnipeg. St. John’s College is a small Anglican college located on the campus of the University of Manitoba (204-474-8531).

Jewish
The Jewish Federation of Winnipeg/Combined Jewish Appeal is the central address of the Jewish community of Winnipeg and supports vital programs and services in the city and around the world. The Jewish Federation Of Winnipeg is also the Manitoba Region of the Canadian Jewish Congress.

Catholic
The Archdiocese of Winnipeg has 175,000 members in 91 parishes. It has 10 schools and St. Paul’s College (on the campus of the University of Manitoba).

Baptist
There are various kinds of Baptists. The North American Baptist Conference has 16 churches in Manitoba. One of the most well-known Winnipeg churches in the denomination is the New Life Ministries. The denomination has over 2,300 members in 16 churches in Manitoba.

Muslim
There are 5,000 Muslims in Manitoba, with about 4,500 living in Winnipeg. The Manitoba Islamic Association, a voluntary non-profit organization, manages the Manitoba Islamic Centre, built in Winnipeg in 1975.
The first full time Islamic private school in Manitoba is the ALhijra Islamic School, which opened in 1996. Today it has 110 students from kindergarten to grade seven. ALhijra is a member of the Independent school federation and is recognized by the Manitoba Board of Education.
Winnipeg is also the headquarters of the Islamic Social Services Association of the United States and Canada. The Manitoba Islamic Centre is affiliated with all major Islamic organizations in North America, including the Council on American-Islamic Relations Canada (CAIR-CAN).

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons)
The official name is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For members of the church, the early Christians are considered former-day saints, while present members of the church are latter-day saints. They are frequently called Mormons, a nickname given them because they believe in the Book of Mormon as the word of God.

Mennonite
The highest concentration of Canadian Mennonites are found in Manitoba, followed by Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Alberta. Mennonites make up approximately one percent of Canada’s population.
Although Mennonites in Manitoba are primarily European in origin, today members of the church come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds such as Chinese, Spanish, Vietnamese, Laotian and Aboriginal.
