The Mennonite Heritage Village in Steinbach offers you an opportunity to experience and appreciate the rugged lifestyle endured by Mennonites and other pioneer settlers. Learn the history of the Anabaptist movement in Europe and the Americas. Tour the unique, fully-functional windmill, sod dugout shelter, log home and house-barns, visit the blacksmith shop, print shop, stores, historic schools and churches, and see various farm animals, antique steam engines, tractors, vehicles and implements. On Special Events days see, costumed interpreters in many of the historic buildings and pioneer skills demonstrations. Authentic cuisine can be sampled in the Livery Barn Restaurant.
