Friends Festival, Assiniboine Park Conservatory, 15 Conservatory Drive off 2355 Corydon Ave.
Since the first Festival was held in 1988, the Festival of Trees & Lights has raised over one-half million dollars for local charities. For 17 years, the Junior League of Winnipeg hosted the Festival of Trees & Lights.
In 2006, as has been their long-standing tradition, the Junior League of Winnipeg turned over the operation of the Festival to the Friends of the Assiniboine Park Conservatory. The Friends worked closely with the Junior League in 2006 to make the transition of planning and holding the event now and in the future.
Proceeds from the 2009 tree raffle are directed as follows:
* Special Olympics Manitoba
* The Friends of the Assiniboine Park Conservatory
