Workforce Training Programs

  • Training and Continuing Education Division -- Provides programs and services that create opportunities to develop a skilled and adaptable workforce that supports the Province's social and economic goals
  • Industry Workforce Development (IWD) - Works with industry associations to develop sectoral approaches to meeting human resource and training needs in strategic industry sectors
  • Apprenticeship - Coordinates the training and qualifications system that delivers accredited, structured, workplace-based skills and technical training to apprentices, leading to journeyperson certification

Employment Manitoba

Employment Manitoba is the employment services agency of the Government of Manitoba. ETS works with employers and business to help address their workforce development and adjustment requirements.

  • Direct Employment Services - Employment Centres provide a range of services, including support for skills training
  • Skills Training Opportunities - to income assistance recipients in high-demand occupations or occupational areas experiencing skill shortages
  • Employment Partnerships - provides employers with financial assistance to deliver job-specific workplace-based training for income assistance clients
  • Wage Subsidies - for providing work experience to income assistance client
